Following up Sinister Funkhouse #17, Last Crack dishes out an album here that defies genre labeling. From Wicked Sandbox to Energy Mind and Mack Bolasses, this album combines the powerful vocals of Buddo, the excellent guitar and bass tone, and the energized drumming all coming together and making something truly powerful/5(13).

Mar 12,  · Unfortunately for Last Crack they didn't get the deserved promotion considering that they are an amazing band. They could be a big band for sure. After the release of "Burning Time", they did some stuff later, like another full-length album and some live stuff back in , but are a very quiet band, I must say, and almost forgotten for many/5(68).
  3. Tygolmaran says:
Last Crack is like the beginnings of what the Post-metal genre is now. They were very ecclectic & original. Strangely enough, they were signed to a major metal label at the time (RoadRacer). If you get tired of modern music, or want to try something from the early 90's (before metal began to phase out), give last Crack a spin/5(13).

Burning Time points to the fact that, like those artists, Last Crack are metal musicians who really knows how to combine naked aggression with a love of melody. Last Crack's music is quite risk-taking -- though this ambitious CD brings to mind Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Queensrÿche, there are times when Burning Time also makes one think of U/

Into the '90s, two years removed from the debut release of the inspired Sinister Funkhouse #17, Last Crack returned with the equally mind-numbing Burning Time album. The Madison, Wisconsin based group fronted by the out-there Buddo once again defies being pigeon-holed, as the all-over-the-map recording goes heavy, funky, mellow and hard.

Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, Last Crack released 3 albums with ''Burning Time'' to be considered by most as the best moment of their short discography. Released by Roadracer records and produced by Dave Jerden, the album got great reviews, as I remember, but obviously that was not enough. The band retained a cult status.
